Hellos and Goodbyes
August is always a busy month for Camp and this year was no exception! Our Pop-Up Programs rolled on with some of our Hampton-area families alongside our friends at Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (VHF) and Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area (HACA). We closed out CHT Everywhere: Online sessions with classic camp traditions as our campers return to school. And we’ve been in the process of growing our staff team so that we can continue to provide for our community, near and far!

We are so excited to have these folks joining the Camp Family! You’ll see Jimmy or Reagan the next time you’re at CHT to volunteer or to spend a weekend retreat in our beautiful lodges. Angelica is up in Maryland, but you’ll hear from her when you donate or support camp as she gets to know all of our amazing community members.

In the midst of all these news faces, we’re sad to see a familiar face move on to a new adventure. Program Director, McKenzie, will be leaving her position at CHT to take an opportunity at her church and spend more time with her family. We are so grateful to have had her compassion, creativity, and kindness at camp!
